Have you ever experienced art that moved you? Something that sparks a fire of inspiration? Recently Mario and I were invited to The Broad where we were able to experience the work of Yayoi Kusama and boy were we in for a treat! Not only is her work beautiful but it is deep…like infinitely deep.
While standing in one of her infinity rooms I had a thought…what if all these parallels existed?! It’s…infinite!! It got me thinking about how every moment in our life shapes and changes our future. How life is made up of moments big and small. How most of those moments are hard to appreciate until they are behind us. How it’s easy to live in the past and not the present.
I don’t take much time for myself. To just sit and be and appreciate the little things… but going to this show made me step outside myself. It reminded me to appreciate the little things and basque in the beauty of many reflections. Well, I reflected. Peering into another life of myself and catching a glimpse of an alternate me. Who am I? What do I want to accomplish? The days fly by so quickly now I sometimes feel like I don’t have enough time to think. To work on myself.
I left the exhibit feeling inspired. Feeling connected to my roots of art and creating… and the girl in the reflections wants to be the light that travels to infinity.
